Reading Romances Challenge: February Completed
29th of February. Already?!? This month went by in a breeze, and here I am again, doing the monthly status of the Reading Romances Challenge 2012.
February was a challenge at several levels and here I am contemplating this month guidelines and evaluating my reading performance. The February’s book prompts were:
Opinião: “Na Sombra do Amor” J.R. Ward
This was one of the books chosen for February’s Reading Romances Challenge. It belongs in the first category (A) Valentine’s day: Read a book that has a predominantly color “red” cover, that has a kissing/embracing couple on its cover, or whose title has either the following words: kiss, heart or love.

Reading Romances Challenge: January Completed and February Choices
So here’s my Reading Romances January Challenge status. The prompt was to choose a book that:
A) Is a first of a series, by an author that is “new” to you or a debut novel by an author.
‘The Hunger Games’ – Reading Romances Challenge 2012
Adorei “Os Jogos da Fome”, um livro que fala de vidas mais simples que são em simultâneo, tão complicadas. O dia-a-dia no Distrito 12 é tão cheio de dor e medo e, ao mesmo tempo, de amor e laços protectores que são um paralelismo perfeito com a nossa realidade diária.
Adorei as descrições, algumas tão são brutais que nos transportam para um local em que a nossa pele arde, a sede torna-se sufocante e o desespero de proteger aqueles que amamos torna-se quase real.

Hoje começa um novo desafio do Goodreads, o ‘2012 Reading Challenge’.
O desafio de 2011 acabou ontem com um balanço positivo. Apesar de não ter atingido o (segundo) objectivo a que me propus, sinto-me satisfeita com o desfecho deste desafio.
