This is my Romantic Suspense book choice for October’s RR Challenge (Themes #3).
‘Public Secrets’ gives us a tour through two decades of Emma McAvoy’s life. First as a young child that suffers at the hands of her birth mother and as the unexpected and unwanted daughter of an arising rock star. Then as the foreign element in a pop music’s band road to success. And later as a young woman and her choices and fears that led her to marriage and a new king of hell.
‘River Marked’ is the 6º book of the Mercy Thompson Series. It took me about 10 hours to get through this one, a normal pace for the books of this series. I really enjoyed getting back to Tri-Cities and to Mercy’s prowess to attract danger. Nevertheless there were some things that kept bugging me throughout the book.
OK, it has action. Mercy is herself and she’s a good heroine, Adam, Jesse and his pack are always a treat. But it felt a little bit empty.
September was a slow month. Even though I started some books, I wasn’t quite able to complete my Reading Romances Monthly Quota (2 books/month).
So this is my September reading status:

Dia 02 de Agosto e estamos naquela época em que não há nada melhor do que aproveitar a cidade (quase) vazia. Quero agradecer ao resto do país por aturar os invasores. Agosto na cidade tem qualquer coisa de especial, enquanto nas zonas turísticas é qualquer coisa de infernal.
A última entrada neste ‘Diário de Bordo’ tem três semanas o que, mais uma vez, prova que não sou grande coisa em manter diários, seja qual for o seu tipo.
